For those who want a bit of pampering after their paddle excursion, Perquimans County has a delightful variety of B&B's and cozy inns.
The Beechtree Inn & Restaurant, located in the southern part of the county,  lodges its guests in pre-civil war buildings which the owners have acquired over the years, lovingly restored and furnished.
The oldest of the Perquimans B&B's is 1812 on the Perquimans, a splendid coastal plantation, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and offering tea and crumpets upon arrival, a superb breakfast in the elegantly appointed dining room, and bicycles and canoes available at no charge.
The Springfield Bed & Breakfast Inn is located just south of Hertford. Nestled in a classic southern setting, the Inn features relaxing porches with old rocking chairs, a delightful garden, and rooms furnished with hand-made items dating back four generations.
